Find your own gems: Modern Art and Quiet Moments in a Traditional Machiya

Note Gallery was established in 2011 in a renovated traditional merchant house in Hirakata-shuku, an area that still captures the historic atmosphere of the old Kyo-kaido Road.

Our concept is a "White Cube Tea Room"—a space that blends the dignified stillness of a tea room with a soft, welcoming warmth. Here, you can experience the diverse and unique works of various artists up close and in their truest form.

In our adjoining tea house (cafe), enjoy a moment of tranquility with matcha or coffee while overlooking our quiet garden. During exhibition periods, no reservations are required. We also offer a casual tea-making experience, where you can whisk your own matcha at your table.

Whether you are visiting Hirakata Park, strolling along the Yodo River, or exploring the historic highway, please feel free to stop by and rest your wings. We hope you will find your own "gems" here and enjoy a moment that enriches your heart.

Menu (Tea House)
Matcha (includes Sweets): 600 yen
Coffee / Tea / Herbal Tea: 450 yen (+50 yen for iced)
