YOKO MIKI

My works take the form of distorted household items, connected by twisted pipes.

They serve as an entrance to darkness from our side, while simultaneously functioning as an exit from another world.

I contemplate the possibility that emotions toward incomprehensible words and the invisible might render various metaphors of real society invalid.

My works look like deformed household utensils, connected by twisted tubes.

It is a gateway to darkness from our side and at the same time an exit from another world.

I am thinking about the possibility that various metaphors of the real world might be invalidated by our feelings about words we don't understand and things we can't see, and about the possibility that we can't see.

I am thinking about this.
